Sorry, I thought about sperm freezing... my bad.

But I do have my own vasectomy horror story.

I reacted badly to the operation itself. My balls swelled up to the size of... well, pretty big. Had to wear an athletic supporter for a while and one ball was still bigger than the other one 6 months later. But at least, for a while, I had one impressive package. 8O

At least I had a job where I wore a suit... loose boxers and pants... and worked pretty much sitting down all day.

Maybe reports are skewed because it had to do with over a billion people in the East saving it up for a generation with that "one child policy" :D

Yet another reason for food to be produced organically.

Define organically.

No petroleum based fertilizer. Crop rotation and crop diversity used to promote soil health instead. No petroleum based pesticides or herbicides. No hormones or antibiotics used in livestock.

I don't care that much about GMOs, I think that is a little blown out of proportion.

Petroleum based pesticides are USDA "organic" approved.

I agree with what you said though, just not the term ;)

I could lend you one. Middle is smart but all over with what he's doing. Comes complete with a three year old and an ex with huge mental health issues. He isn't dating right now as he hasn't figured out how to get a mental health assessment on random people

I always said my requirement for re-homing a child would be whether they could cook and clean. :) No freeloaders!

Tell him online dating is a no-no. All the weirdos I have met have been online.

Volunteer. At church, or the Legion, or at a food bank. That's where you meet nice people, and can figure out if they are nuts or not far earlier than having to go to the 'bathroom' in the restaurant and just continuing on out the back door. Sometimes the people aren't the dating type, but they might have daughters who they are perfectly willing to set up with a nice young man!

He cooks but sucks at cleaning. He really has no luck meeting nice girls. Baby momma really soured him against relationships.

That's because there aren't any.
3rd wave Western feminism took care of that.

Many US Departments don't operate on a fact based perspective. 'Organic' I refer to is the way farming has been managed properly for thousands of years. Just we have better tools to accomplish it now. One man and his machines can farm 10,000 acres, instead of 40 acres with his mules.

That's the problem I have with GMOs; there is no knowledge about what they do when interbred with traditional crops, when they do cross with those crops then 'patents' take over and the farmer loses the right to their traditional saved seed, and we don't know what effect the GMOs have on our health.

It's interesting that people who report gluten intolerance to store bought bread often have no intolerance to traditionally made sourdough. :) Could GMOs be interfering in our immune systems? I'd like that question answered before I fuly trust them.

Both the science community and the medical community have reached a similar consensus on GMOs that they have on Climate change. It's hard to believe one and not the other.

That's because they aren't intolerant to gluten. There would be no difference in the protein whether from a GMO or a non-GMO crop, there is no chemical difference between the two plants in what they produce.

There are those who report a queasiness when eating white flour, but not whole wheat or rye, or vice-versa. Some think it's due to the way that commercial yeasts break down the carbs, and how those are absorbed by the body.

I'm not talking celiac disease, just gluten intolerance.

I wouldn't be shocked if that's more a reaction to the bleaching agents than the wheat itself. But studies have shown only about 6% of the population have a "gluten intolerance" and 1% being celiac. Not the probably triple that, that claim it.

Back on the subject of the thread though, it's probably more chalked up to obesity rates that anything. A side effect that's well documented.

That's what I'm saying though. Let's find out the cause of intolerance, allergies, low sperm counts etc. before we go messing with the food supply and make ourselves extinct!
