Actually, bass, small and large mouthed both suck at the table!


I have to disagree, the Largemouth Bass I've caught and cooked from Saltspring Island and other locales on Vancouver Island were all great table fare. Filleted, rolled in dry breadcrumbs and lightly sauteed in oil or pork lard and they were great [drool] !!

Possibly, as the ones I've eaten were from southern impoundments with water that looks like something a rat wouldn't drink.


That seems to be the result of warm water fisheries world wide......

If that's what's happening I'll bet you'll say they taste like mud......

In East Europe they have carp for dinner on....... you know Eve.

Have to have them in the tub swimming in clean water for a couple
days before they get cooked to get the mud out of them.

I hate those plastic rings. :(
