housewife housewife:
RIP

Hopefully 2017 will not be as bad

Mu guess is 2017 will be even worse.

We are all getting older, and the 'famous' set, only 5-10-15 years older
than some of us, went quite loopy on the sex, drugs, and rock and roll party train.

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
The media this morning is starting to say that George Michael's heroin addiction looks to have caught up with him.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/12 ... et-heroin/

Unfortunately the first thought I had was that drugs were involved. Sad.

His ex was HIV positive and then George had pneumonia that almost killed him.
Besides using drugs, he had a very dangerous sex-life.

I would have said AIDS killed him... still sad.

Epidemics don't obey false calendar divisions. Expect the badness to continue as the first wave of baby boomers and the early Gen-X'ers who lived the lifestyle a bit too intensely shuffle off this mortal coil.

But Keith Richards will still outlive us all! 8O

That was two days ago. Like a lot of people, I was under the now false assumption that 2016 was done with taking people from us.

Just him, the roaches, and the rats and Keith will probably be the happiest he's ever been.

Roaches and rats don't rock on, so Keith will be sad, have to play (I can't get no) Satisfaction all day. Which wouldn't bother me at all - great rock song.

Wasn't really ever a fan of his music, but his quiet philanthropy speaks volumes of his character.

I agree with that. How fortunate for him that he was able to keep his personal business personal and not for the world to have to hear about.
