Was watching BNN yesterday and Michael Hainsworth referred to it as the Harper regime.

BeaverFever BeaverFever:
It's funny considering how much time and effort the Conservatives spent making everything blue in the first place, plus renaming the federal government "The Harper Government" and displaying large novelty cheques with CPC party logos at official government ceremonies.

But but but the Conservatives did it. ROTFL

TBH who gives a shit about what colour each party uses when they're in power. The only problem is the cost to taxpayers for all this unscheduled reno work that's done at the beginning of every new regime. Take it out of the PM's salary and I'd have no problem with it. Or, better yet pass a law that says all Gov't ad's and correspondence must be in bright Fuchsia. Problem solved.

Spending about to go through the roof.

Jobs being lost left and right.

BoC is talking about negative interest rates, while the US is going to drag
bond rates up.

Housing bubble popping in Alberta, soon to be everywhere else.

Dollar at 73 cents, heading for 60.

And yet, this is the most important thing this government is doing.

Colours of the websites.

ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

We are gonna be sooooooo fucked.

and just what would your beloved Harper Cons have done to help the situation if still in? I'll bet they would have done exactly what they did for the past 9 years which was sweet F all.

It's the stupidest argument, the old "why is government filling potholes when they haven't solved world peace" line.

As if a government with dozens departments and agencies can't work on more than one thing. Martin probably thinks that if they had fired the IT guy who maintains the websites and put his salary toward fixing the economy it would be fixed by now.

Yeah exactly!! That argument actually works on this issue because the Cons said publicly that there's nothing wrong with it. We're not talking about a crime or scandal here.
