As it says, he can push anything he wants thru parliament, including a full blown ground invasion if he wants. So was he confused or was he lying?

this is the problem with Harper. As the article says, most Canadians, (including this one) probably don't have a problem with Canadian troops accompanying the Iraqis, and obviously fighting back if attacked. So why the need to bullshit?

This is the problem with stupid fucks like you. No room for change. War is a black and white thing to you. No room for things to change and evolve. If it was said, one must stick exactly to that.

Fuck the Iraqi's if they need the help. Let's sit back, watch them get killed. Good call.

Exactly. But you have to remember, Andy doesn't even see black or white. Just tie dye from all the hallucinogens he does.

Our heroes should be able to fight back as they see fit. They are out there facing that danger, not any of us. With that having been said, we are not there to do EVERYTHING for these Iraqi forces. They need to step up and grow a pair and learn from all of this. If they don't, they'll keep getting smoked.

As long as we do our job and come out safe and sound, it's all good.

Oh, and Andy.....if you have a problem with the way the country is being run, please, go start campaigning for office. Writing angry letters from your parent's basement won't accomplish anything.

I agree here. The danger is inherent. Up to and including everything that is not going to get our troops killed is fine by me.

shit stain shit stain:

Or, you know, just help them and tell the truth at the same time. A tall order, I know, but it can be done.

Besides you being a loser with nothing to do but complain, what does it matter?

Who else is talking about this besides guys like you and the talking heads in the media? The general public could give less than a flying fuck that they didn't relay the exact terms of the battlefield.

Or hey ya know, since modern warfare is mobile and fluid, the front (or a small portion thereof) could have moved closer to where our soldiers were stationed, even if only for a short period of time. But hey, let's just pretend that there's absolutely no movement or maneuvering in warfare and wax hyperbole instead.

You really need to become an advisor to the Reformacons. Makes sense what you said, yet not once has this been their excuse. Instead we got all the bafflegab I mentioned above. Makes me think, your explanation, while feasible, is not what happened. Tho why they couldn't just bullshit about it is beyond me. It's their standard mo anyway. They just don't have anybody on staff clever enough to come up with such a plausible bit of bullshit. Guess when you're knee deep in it, you can't tell quality bullshit from regular grade anymore. That's where you would come in.

First off, I highly doubt that Harper and his cronies are sitting in lawn chairs in Iraq watching the "fun" in person. Secondly, making public everything that happens in a war zone is not a smart thing to do today, particularly with the speed at which news travels. You'd be amazed at what little tidbits of information the enemy can glean from reading the news.

Jesus man, there are documents from WW2 that are STILL classified. I guess we need to develop some sort of conspiracy theory as to why, because a now deceased PM is obviously keeping secrets from us.

I believe that they will all be released in the future when everybody involved is well and truly gone. We're not quite there, yet.

I'm worried that if we make too much fuss about where and when our soldiers are engaging ISIL, they will send out parties to specifically target Canadian soldiers to bring some back alive so that they can execute them as part of their rather effective media campaign.
