It was discussed here. Israel had/has? a plan where if it looks like they're going down, they'll nuke everybody they can reach, friend or foe alike. I guess it's to make sure their friends will support them when the time comes. Thank God we're far away enough not to have to suffer that sort of freindship.

Samson Option. If Israel is attacked and appears to be losing to the exent that they have to assume a Second Holocaust is happening they'll allegedly use their nuclear-capable air force and submarines to destroy every sizable Arab/Persian city within range. Numerous Greek, Italian, Turkish, even French, and possibly even Austrian cities are also within their range, which is what caused the concern when the alleged existence of the Samson Option was revealed.

Anyone attacking Israel with nukes will also effectively be attacking Palestine because of how small that area is, so its like shooting itself in the foot. Turning the entire muslin world against any such nuclear attacker. Israel has a built in human shield.

And to put in physical perspective a couple of Tel Aviv's will fit nicely with a lot of room to spare just in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
