Seems like that vortex making it cold there is sucking warm air into the BC interior. Prince George area's a lot warmer than usual. Can barely call it winter...

it`s the jet stream like every other year there has been extra cold and warm spells

Not many sand beaches on Lake Sup where the big ones roll in.

Yeah, it's quite amazing seeing the Detroit River almost completely frozen over. This picture is from a few weeks ago, and it's just as cold today.
Funny thing is, during the '70s that wasn't unusual.
