Not much of a story, but no reason to jump on OTI for posting it. It's not about a coronation, just doesn't look very exiting if nobody shows up to vote.

If he had just posted the news item, then no biggie.

But then he dog piled on top with his snide comment, so yeah, a snarky one back is deserved IMHO.

Anti-Liberal junk? [huh]

Was it anti-Liberal when Marc Garneau said pretty much the same thing?

The snide comment was the truth. Liberals, even the guy who was running against JT said much the same when he dropped out of the race.

Garneau must not be too burned up about it, since he's now supporting Trudeau. Trudeau has been a very good organizer, he prepared well for this race. Good for him.

Doesn't matter is he's pissed off or delighted by it. His comments aren't any different.

He knows as do most that there really is no race for the Liberal leadership. Justin will win and it's because he's their best chance to win the next election.

Then there's not much of a story here, is there? Guess that's why all the righties are to frothy about Trudeau - they're worried.

That's not froth.

That's drool, the hardcore can't wait.
Garneau would have confused the hell out of them.

The next election will be a new low for Canadian politics.

Both sides fully to blame.

seems like it's true every election too. Just a downward spiral of negative campaigning and fear mongering. The only ones who like it are poitical junkies who see the whole thing as a sport, but since it works we ain't gonna see nuthin' better anytime soon.

Sure is true.

It's gotten worse and worse year after year! Next election will bring a new host of negative attack ads and Canadians will eat it up just like they always do.

Speculation. It's hard to say how things will play out at this stage. Things aren't always that negative. Obama did well in the US with a positive campaign in 2008.

If things go as predicted, Dix will do well going positive in the BC election. But that's because he's way up in the polls. If things are close, I think both sides go negative, if not then the down side does. Negative works unless you're seen as the top dog being too agressive.

The Conservatives already have a set of attack ads for Justin Trudeau. You can bet the farm on that one.

If the Liberals don't jump out and define their leader first, they'll be in trouble if the CPC does first.

The Democrats could have run a dead dog in 2008 and won.

Hardly impressive.

Well, I'm hoping that Trudeau runs a postive campaign myself. It's the type of politics I prefer. Easier said then done, though, especially if the other parties are running a negative campaign.
