Apparently many Republicons are threatening to move to Canada after Obama's victory. Boy are they in for a shock. Is there no way to keep that riff raff out? I know, let's build a big fence.

Meh. We were hearing the same thing from the other side when Bush got his second term.

True that. To those whiners, shut the fuck up and sort out your own problems.

The only bad thing about this is that we'll have to endure another 4 years of Trump bitching about birth certificates and kindergarten report cards. :(

I don't think it really mattered who was going to win last night. No American politician has the balls to tell the American public what's really going on economically and what's needed to keep the ship from foundering. Obama has zero ideas other than spend 'til there's nothing left. Romney had a blame others attitude. So I guess we just watch China become the #1 economy (which reports say should happen in 2016) and the U.S. empire fade. Luckily both still need Canada's oil so I guess we'll laugh all the way to the bank.

Most of them would never pass the entrance qualifications...
Odd that to avoid paying higher taxes and a drift toward socialism the Republicans now think that moving to Canada would be a better option..
Those Republicans are kinda dumb eh!

America will be all right. It would have been with Romney as president too. Republicans and Democrats both govern from the center, with slight differences in emphasis. The American political system is very resistant to being pushed to an extreme.

And once in power, either party governs with an eye to being re-electable in another 4 years.

Obama's re-election is not the end of the USA as we know it.

He's probably parked in a trailer park by the Mexican border with a six pack of Bud and a sniper rifle.

A Minute Man vacation package.

Congratulations to Obama. I don't think this will change anything in the big picture and time will tell if Americans made a wise decision or cut their throats. 8O

It's either that, or first having to shoot your wife, kids and dog before you kill yourself.

AND, I rather see Michele than The Bride of Chuckie, to be honest...

I think it might be the beginning of the end of America as we know it. America is changing, it is no longer the independent, less gov’t we can do it country. These ideals that made the country are now turning into a gov't cradle to the grave. America - a nation heading into a financial maelstrom :D

IMO part of the GOP problem was the radical religious extremists, there's a piece here that speak to that. Mind you, to be fair, during every campaign you're going to have a few candidates making stupid remarks. The media has picked up and attacked every dumb comment by a Republican while ignoring the plethora of stupidity from the Democrats.

Romney failed to capitalize on the poor economy and foreign policy missteps of Obama.

Thanks, Too, To The Abortocentrist
http://www.boortz.com/weblogs/nealz-nuz ... centrists/
The Republicans lost any hope of regaining control in the Senate the minute that Republican men decided to open their traps and make idiodic comments about something that will never, ever affect them: abortion.

+1 to that. $6 Billion spent to get basically the same disfunctional government they had on Monday.

If anyone says the USAians want 'change', I'll spew!

Unlikely. Sure there may be socialized health insurance and gay marriage, but there will be an ocean of familiar-looking White faces.

A well earned win by President Obama. He did better than expected, meaning he won the popular vote. He still lost ground from last time though; so he doesn't exactly have a mandate.

A lot of the speculation this morning has been on where the Republican Party will move on the issues to better match the American electorate. That's a really tough question though. Right now, the country is relatively liberal on social issues and relatively conservative on economic issues. But, and let's remember just how important identity politics are in the USA, the largest growing group, Hispanics, tend to be liberal on economic issues and conservative on social issues. I'm glad I don't have to decide which way the Republicans should go.

How so? How would you do it differently?
