Caelon Caelon:
While I can agree that a beauty pageant for women should be restricted to those with 2 X chromosones, the rules do not state that. They cannot discriminate against the candidate because 'she' has under gone transgender and cosmetic surgery OR they would have to put that into the rules and all the other candidates would be subject to disqualification if they have had any type of cosmetic surgery. Based on past practices it would appear as if she should be able to compete.

[huh]

No matter who this is looked at, she is really a he. Yes, a lot of the 'competitors' in this pageant have enhancements and whatnot, they are all still women in a 'Miss' pageant. Men have no place in a female pageant.

I am pretty sure she is legally a female. So "she" is not really a "he" but a "she".

Miss Universe is quite correct in limiting their contest to natural born women.

They don't. It is not a requirement.

I don't view this as much different, really, than wearing lipstick or make-up. "Not what the good lord made, but what he intended." Let him her compete, I say.

I can't seem to find any site which state what the actual rules are for entry. Anyone have a link?

The real purpose of Miss Universe is so men can ogle chicks they wish they could bang and so the women of the world can rank themselves and their peers accordingly. Since most guys don't want to bang a tranny, the contest organizers don't see value in including one.

HOW DO CONTESTANTS GET TO THE NATIONAL COMPETITION?
For Miss USA and Miss Teen USA some cities and all states have preliminary competitions, which are produced by local and state directors. The winner of the city competition goes on to compete in the state event for her home city; state winners go on to the national competition. However, a delegate may enter a state competition without having won a city title. Miss Universe contestants must win their respective competitions to compete in the contest. In the case of the United States, Miss USA goes on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant.

In the US, the requirements would be listed for which ever regional/local pageant she would have entered.

As far as I can tell, she meets all Miss Universe Canada requirements.
