Yogi Yogi: At the point of 'Li's last actions' he lost all right to 'human considerations'.
Societies safety must come first at any cost!
I have shown my willingness to offer compassion where none is due via lethal injection.
'My way' guarantees an absolute that Vincent Li will never have the opportunity to hurt another human being! Uh huh. Real rational. I see you left out the second half of my post that speaks to the absurdity of worrying about Li when there are other, much more risky things we do every day and don't give a second thought to.

Brenda Brenda: Yogi Yogi: Harvest his organs for donation, send his remains to the body farm where he will be evaluated much more often and thereby actually contributes to society.WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN...!
Well, excuse me... But do you mind that I do not want his organs to be donated to anyone? I still believe that in everyone, exist some good. We just have to dig deeper in some than others to find it!

And you can 100% guarantee that its not in his genes? That its not contageous? I don't think so either.

Yogi Yogi: hurley_108 hurley_108: Whose treats a mentally sick person like a human being, and whose treats him like a piece of meat?

It never is, no matter how you attempt to justify it. Like I said in another thread, if you want live executions, stonings and other barbaric punishment for people who commit heinous crimes, Iran will give you all you want and more. Frankly, I'd like to think Canada is a tad more civilized than Iran...

I agree with Mr. McLean's parents, put him away in a mental hospital forever. clearly he is deeply disturbed, you will never "cure" him, only medicate the shit out of him. its safer to remove all chance of a risk that Mr. Li will ever re-offend.

Everyone commits crimes. Littering is a crime, Jaywalking, Parking in that Handicap Space because you will be in and out, these are all crimes, they may not be crimes like murder or rape. but the logic being bandied about by some, all crime is committed by the mentally ill, so therefore by extension everyone is mentally ill.

hurley_108 hurley_108: RUEZ RUEZ: This man should never walk the street again. I don't care if it's in a jail or a psychiatric facility. He needs to pay for taking that young mans life. Well, he is going to a psychiatric facility, so I'd think you'd be satisfied. Hugo...maybe he will be your backgammon or checkers playmate?
