I suspect it has more to do with Lemmy's post suggesting that Ford is guilty of crack/cocaine addiction when said guilt has yet to be proven, which is antithetical to the presumption of innocence before proven guilty that our courts operate on. Granted, it does not necessarily apply to the court of public opinion.
Agreed. That's the way the courts operate, but not the way people do.
I'm reading a book now (Thinking Fast and Slow) and, based on a lot of psychological research, it's amazing how judgmental we are just based on a person's appearance. If you're tall, with a square jaw and faint, confident smile people will follow you.
