All Ford is doing is putting lipstick on a pig. It is still a bailout, ADDITIONAL to the 2.3 BILLION DOLLARS they still want!

But Sara Palin is still cute... :D :D :D :D

Maybe GM should use some slave labour like Toyota....

Maybe GM should've made better, reliable cars over the last 15 years like Toyota...

Yeah...that's why most police cars in North America are Ford Crown Vics or Chevy Impalas...

IF Toyotas are better how come more domestics are preferred as service cars (taxis, police cars, military cars, fire department cars, etc)...???

NO...because they are more reliable and cheaper to maintain... You punks forget I have a good friend who is an auto mechanic and was employed by the police department... Also my kid brother is fleet mechanic...

If it is your livelihood yo want what is the most reliable regardless of cost...

It's been my personal experiance that it isn't up to me what vehicle I use, but the higher powers above me, and above all else they consistantly care about keeing costs down, and don't give 2 sweet fucks about relaibility.

As for reliability, better to talk to the pwople who actually drive the vehicles, the mechanics who work on them will say anything to keep their jobs, as if the vehicles were reliable, not as many mechanics would be needed to fix them.

Unfortunately Chrysler is the most likely automaker to go under/chapter 11, even with a government bailout, so without any assurances related to viability the answer should be NO. The only other alternative would be a loan with plants and all assets in Ontario as collateral.

Because they got a better deal and they're cheaper.

If the domestics are better how come their reliability, initial quality and depreciation has been garbage over the last 15 years. Want to check JD Power and
Consumers Reports? Didn't think so.

Don't care who you know...they're cheaper and industry standards for the last 15 years have, for the most part, dumped on domestic reliability, quality and depreciation. You can deny objective facts till the end of days but you're flat ass wrong.
