Derby what is the point of that? There is a whole other thread for that crap. Would you like me to dig up the Liberal scandal sheet? How about we stick to the Senate appointments. Something which Harper is well within his rights to do. I find it appalling that the opposition even opens their mouth about this.

Just sticking it to starcraft.

On another thread we have uwish saying its fully understandable and even their job to scream about whatever the ruling party is doing.

The opposition are hypocrites for screaming about Harper appointing senators? Sure they are just as Harper is a hypocrite for screaming about the EI fund, floor crossing, QC pandering or any number of things.

I fully understand that he is perfectly entitled to appoint senators.

I fully understand why he is appointing all 18 thus negating any chance there is of a coalition gettign power and appointing their own guys.

I likely do the same thing in his shoes and would support the Libs doing it with one caveat. I don't agree with him being allowed to do it while parliment is suspended. Its either suspended or it isn't.

Its kinda like when you were grounded by your parents but still allowed to play with your frinds in the backyard.

You quoted a Streaker thread? You're just pissy because i and the supreme court smacked you down

$1:
So you're looking for proof in a Streaker thread?
You might as well go discuss structural engineering with JP Patches.

Like the Coyotes?

For a discussion about the C-17s and the problems thereof see Bootlegga.

My only point in that list was to slap down starcraft attemtping to muddy the waters by simply listing things the Libs did.

If we want to match list for list I'll do that.

If we want to discuss the issues, I'll do that too.

f-18 yup
cormorant yup
C-17 yup
c-130j's yup
frigates yup

list goes on and on. Having a peace of kit that doesn't have problems is like finding a Liberal that will admit they broke the law

and as an aside. I don't know Boot's credentials but I flew the hercs for 10 years and I would have LOVED to fly the new 17's. I think my voice on what the CF needs might have some more clout than his.

Throwing away the civility we seem to have developed?

I'm not the one complainng about the C-17s. I referred you to Boots who spent a good deal of time on that subject.

I mearly mentioned that same military loving the C-17s also love the Liberal bought Coyotes.

Finding a con willing to admit the Liberals made a good purchase for the military is like ........ hmmm.

I never said they made 'bad' purchases; and since you posted the list it is fair game for 'picking' is it not?

you can't post it as a CPC bash then say, well but I am not the one complaining.

That was my point.

I for the record, do like the Coyotes, that was a great purchase and I think the majority of the CF agree.

Rex: Harper's Second Gift

The Liberals finally got their act together. Just in time to capitalize on Stephen Harper's second misstep - 18 Senate appointments, says Rex

I'm not derailing the thread talking about military purchases.

If anyone wants to read up on opinions (not just mine, although those are rather brilliant IMO ) on defence related matters, go to the Military sub forum.

Even when he's on "my" side I disagree with Rex. Lambaste Harper all you want, but the reality is that a coalition would waste no time filling those seats with their choices. Also, a Liberal Senate would just frustrate the efforts of a Conservative House. I'm not a Conseravtive (no! really?), but they are the elected government and I don't want an unelected Senate hampering their efforts.
