Public_Domain Public_Domain:
Oh, I guess I lied. I hate all the leaders. I forget about them sometimes. Liberal, Conservative, NDP. The Cons are just sadists, the Libs are sadists in the closet, and the NDP are the sadists who say they'll ban sadism.

I don't hate leaders, because there's just as many shitbirds among the followers as there is among the rulers. I only hate bad people, period. The phenomenon of bad people being drawn towards positions of leadership is just another one of the curses, or the result of a monkey-brain with it's evolution towards something better having been stalled for far too long, that shadow's the human race.

Our limitations is what limits us from ever becoming anything better. The only place you find a human race worthy of the place it has is in science fiction. Ideals we can't meet, further trampled down by the ideals further imposed by gods that don't exist. All kindness and decency is individual and local at best because once it expands beyond that in terms of numbers it by default become corrupted by the salesmen and politicians rushing in to take advantage of the moment.

Do you know what the secret to sanity is, junior? Realizing that NO ONE are the good guys. There are no good guys. There's just varying degrees of awful. There are only shitty guys and then somewhat less shitty guys and then kinda not shitty guys and then not really shitty guys. And unless the next evolutionary leap manages to bypass the logjam that's been stalling it for far too long it's not going to get any better than that.

No, it's all too real. And, yes, the world run by the millenials scares the fucking shit out of me too. I sincerely hope I'm dead by then. I actually kind of wish I'll be dead before tomorrow but that just my own thing to deal with. I want the far green land beyond the white shores under a swift rising sun with my dogs at my side again far more than any of you.... people can possibly believe.

I posted this before:

The secret to sanity, aside from excessive drinking, is to realize that the messenger is just a big a cute as the rest of us are.

I blame stupid Christianity for the unconscionably stupid social reaction to final self-choice. Aside from the emotional pain it inflicts on the immediate people around you there really is no massive damage on a social or cultural level that it causes. I don't want to be here any more. It hurts too much, and I am so very tired of being here. I'm sorry, and none of it is your fault, but goodbye. Romans regarded it as a way to make up for any shame that had resulted from too many bad decisions or bad behaviour, and Japanese look at it as the ultimate way to serve the volk and nation. Really, it's just a few final moments of physical pain until meeting the final liberation. I don't believe that all these collective consciousnesses simply dissolve into nothingness. I don't believe any religious cock-knocking nonsense, but there has to be something on the other side of the door. Shit, maybe it's just a place where no one has to act like a dick anymore. That alone would be worth it.

My assholish response is to chug another goddamn beer, give you a middle-finger, and say with absolute confidence "fuck humanity". Damn right, little dawg, this is what giving up looks like.

I know there is. We do have an ethereal self as well as a physical self.
That certainly suggests there is more to human life than our mere physical existence.
That's why I've always had a problem with the idea of "spontaneous" formation of life. To have reached the level of evolutionary sophistication that we have reached, it seems life would be pointless if we existed simply to reproduce before we died.
But are we really special in any way? Who the hell knows. The way things are looking rather "Book of Revelation-y" these days, I'm becoming more and more inclined to believe we're actually some fucked-up experiment.

Makes sense too. Considering that the only stars within 50 cubic light years are our own and the stars of Alpha Centauri, it's almost like we're in a quarantine. So if we manage to escape the planet somehow, we won't be going far and aren't going to run into anyone else and infect them or find some way to piss them off, which we humans seem real good at doing.

Those are limitations with the walls built by the human disease. Those are physical constructs from a monkey brain that can't conceive of anything so much greater. None of it will apply in what I'm looking forward to. It's acknowledging that one needs to die first in order to go somewhere else to live forever.

Oh the humanity - a company is using sexuality to peddle its crap!

If this was the first time this had ever happened, I could understand the hoopla, but this happens all the time, and from both sides.

Where was the feminist outrage over this Diet Coke ad?

Or this more recent version?

Good find. Maybe that will stop PD's whinging, since this is exactly what he called for.

Doubt it. One of the problems with the current "patriarchy" fad amongst the feminist types is that absolutely everything is taken as evidence of it's insidiousness. Women's problems? Caused by the unrealistic expectations that the patriarchy foists on them. Men's problems? Same thing. Everything is the fault of the patriarchy! But really, they're not blaming all men for everything!

ON the radio a male interviewer called Marc Lepine the embodiment of maleness, as in he represents all of us, we're all guilty of killing those women. Unbelievable. And no, not the CBC.
