It's not like Americans haven't been going to Cuba since 1959. It's easy to do. you just book with a Canadian travel agent and travel from a Canadian airport.

We should have acquired Turks and Caicos 20 years ago when we had the chance. I had my whole life planned. I was gonna drive my '66 SuperGlide, with my '57 Gold-top on my back, to Miami and sell the bike for passage to T & C (and some "set up" money for a fishing boat). Man, how life has played me a different hand. I should pay the fucker that decided not to acquire T & C a visit. I've got some shit to over with that dude.

A chance to drastically improve the economy of a country, in desperate need, as well as the possibility of being able to rely on the support of the largest democracy in the world, all through peaceful measures. What is the question???

Proculation Proculation: And you opinion is quite anti-american Mr_Canada... I agree. Its like asking Scape to give a fair and balanced comment on the CIA or me to say nice things about Mao. All American tourists are not the same and I'd say it all rests on how the cubans treat thse new tourists. Canadians get treates well because we're not Americans but more, because the Cubans are desperate for foreign curancy. If they start getting a flood of tourists and start taking acting like assholes, their going to be just as popular as any other sunny shithole.

You can always easily spot on American tourist and you can easily always spot a Canadian tourist...but I will be honest the American tourists are the annoying ones It is really the American view of "Oh I don't care about what other people think".

When I was on 18, myself and 3 of my buddies were on the loose in Paris. In the middle of the night, drunk, we hailed a cab. Cabbie said "No, no, only 3 in a cab in Paris" and we said "Come on, give us a break". And he said "You stupid Americans, you don't understand, 3 in a cab in Paris". And my buddy, Hughey, said "We're Canadians"..."Oh, so sorry, get in". That's a TRUE fuckin' story.

Or is that racism Kenmore?

RUEZ RUEZ: And the moral is, the cabbie couldn't tell the difference until you told him. Prejudice bastard. Or is that racism Kenmore? No, not at all. That was a totally obtuse statement. The moral of the story is that Americans are not embraced by the natives of the countries they visit. Canadians are.
