There are these videos that have been going viral the last couple of days. If you're relying on the MSM for your news it's unlikely you've heard of them. The right wing blogs however are full of the story.

The story started with this guy who went into an ACORN office in Baltimore with a hidden camera. He was dressed as a pimp. A girl accompanying him was dressed as a prostitute.

They told ACORN they needed a house to set up a brothel, so they could bring in 14 year olds from El Salvador to work in it. The guy claimed to need money to finance his future political career. The problem was the banks turned them down. They wanted to know how to get the money from the government. ACORN shows them how do lie their way around the difficulties, and defraud agencies like the income tax bureau so they could do that.

You know what ACORN is, right? The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Obama used to work for or with them. They recently got 8 billion dollars from the stimulus bill. They're in line for more if the Cap and Trade bill goes through. They're the guys who went door to door for Obama during the campaign, and helped organize an anti-protester campaign with the SEIU during the recent Townhall meeting controversies.

Oh, so anyway, here's the first set of videos...

As I said the mainstream media didn't pick up the story. Glen Beck did though. If you think you've seen him go ballistic before, wait until you see him react to this one.

That story broke yesterday. Apparently the 2 ACORN employees were fired. ACORN went into damage control and claimed it was an isolated incident, even though there have been many cases of ACORN employees breaking the law in the past.

Today another problem turned up for ACORN, conflicting with their "isolated incident excuse. Two more videos turned up, this time involving ACORN's Washington office. It's starting to look like this will be a video series.

ACORN pimp n ho in Washington Part 1

ACORN pimp n ho in Washington Part 2

I'm Canadian but I take an interest in US politics, so I have no amount of sense of what's important?

If you take an interest in daily republican talking points about political issues that not only don't affect you in any way whatsoever, but that you also can't possibly affect yourself, then yes, imo you have no sense of what's important or worth talking about.

There are 600000+ US political forums to discuss these Republican propaganda talking points forever. There are only about a dozen worthwhile Canadian forums to discuss Canadian politics, which, despite common perception, is really interesting right now.

EdwardRI: Thanks for posting this. If you didn't, I was going to. :D
Just like Van Jones, I can't see them getting away with this one either.

I'm curious though. What exactly is it you expect to find in the US Politics section?

Edit

I edited to the word "section" from "forum" above so you would understand better.

I read the top of the page and it says Canadian politics forum. If I wanted to wade into the Obama-is-the-devil shitstorm I have half a million American forums to discuss it in -- all of whom are running this EXACT SAME STORY WORD FOR WORD. Why not bring up something about American politics that at least affects us in some way instead of just regurgitating the talking point of the day?

No. You are incorrect. Here's a copy and paste of the index showing you where this post is located.

Board index » Politics » International Politics » US Politics

Notice their direction? First it's not important because it's not Canadian then it's evil because it's only Republican talking points so obviously, it's important only if it's Democrat talking points.

You guys can start your own thread on Democrat talking points but if you feel this is a waste of time then don't read it.

My family is from the US and Europe. I'm seriously considering moving to the US in the next few years. Despite this, I will always be Canadian because I was born and raised here. I have a Canadian perspective on US politics. How many forums on the internet could I discuss things with a Canadian perspective? I thought this is one. You would seem content, however, to limit the potential of a Canadian perspective to only Canadian topics. I can't share such a myopic and narrow perspective. If this forum community is content with such aspirations of censorship, I can no longer take part.

Phhffft! LOL! Yeah "obviously". You got nowhere in science didn't you? Since when did "us guys" (read: Me) start a thread featuring a democratic talking point? Never bitch so why not just stfu?

You know riden you expose yourself as the true idiot you are when you need to put words in peoples mouths. I never once said it was 'evil' and the fact that it's not Canadian and simutaniously a Republican talking point is in no way contradictory. Do you really need to drink yourself stupid this early in the morning?

zzzZZZzzz.....yeah yeah yeah. Do you ever post anything original? Why do you only post spoon feed BS issues? Keep your sandbox. I'll say what I want about it. Again: why do you give a shit?

Mods: Is there a filter where I can turn off the US politics threads? Like I say there are half a million US forums I can read and only a dozen decent Canadian forums like this one.

Nice try at misdirection by the Obamapologists though.

The stuff ACORN gets away with in the US is flabbergasting, and one can't help but wonder how deep the corruption goes in the current American administration.

Just listening to CNN on this.. The main ACORN office is telling us that the film was doctored and a lie yet the branch office is telling us that the woman in the video have been fired.
Oh dear.
