What about the Greek tradition? Weren't societies like Athens involved in individualism?

Oklahoma became soverign in 1898 this motion is just saying the Federal goevernemtn overstepped it's bounds. It is in no way connected to interest in succesion.

Individualism takes its roots in the Protestant reformation and became widespread in the Age of Enlightenment (XVIII century). During the Golden Age of Greece, the citizens to be considered good had to imitate or contemplate a perfect model (the immobile Mover of Plato for example).

Oklahoma declares Sovereignty! Like anyone would miss that state. Sorta like North Dakota.

Ottawas' Indians among numerous other tribes were deported to Oklahoma from 1866 on.
