I'm a little confused: So will the Lakota be adopting their own currency and issuing their own passports, or will they be more like the Vatican? Having Bolivia as your only backer isn't the most convincing.

Also wondering that if the land they claim as theirs and demanding payment and such then what about the payment for the land they have been on. They are withdrawing from the treaties does that also mean they are now on land that they have no right to and thus invadeing the U.S.?

Yeah I had to deal with a dipshit town over a speeding ticket. Got told diffrent info on how to handle it the three times I called. Finaly just chose to do a defensive driving course and be done with it. That is IF I get allowed to take it. Freaking court system for out of town people sucks some times.

The Lakota should not mind when their passports get revoked and their casino treaties get revoked and their vodka money gets seized.

Weren't they sovereign before? And didn't they get their asses handed to them? It seems to me that a conquered people stays conquered and if they try to resist, you put that baby to rest. I wonder how the Lakota spell "rebellion", bet it rhymes with "treason".

This is going to get interesting because all I heard so far was that this could be legal, but making it happen may be impossible.

I doubt this secession follows any international law. Unless it somehow does but it's, like, a state secret and we're not supposed to know.
Seems to me the US of A are the "good guys" here.

This is a Native Canadian Issue how exactly?
It is of great interest to many Native Canadians.
I imagine this would be of great interest to separatists in Quebec as well.

The U.S. has never had much interest in following/reading/acknowledging international law. However this is resolved will be through U.S. law.
