$1:
George Bush Knows Why They Hate Us
By Jason Miller

Why do they hate us? President George Bush posed this question to the American public shortly after 9/11. It is a strong affirmation of the power of propaganda that some Americans still pose this as a serious question, and are legitimately dumbfounded that such antipathy exists toward the United States.

Our government, media and schools start burnishing the false notion of American moral superiority into our brains at a very young age. However, beneath the thin veneer of their white-washed accounts of history and current events, abundant sources of information reveal the true malevolence of the moneyed elite who rule America. There is a great body of evidence which obliterates the inane notion that the United States is a benevolent world leader.

Despite the ready availability of contrary evidence, many Americans remain blind to the truth about our despised nation, and choose to believe the fairy-tale version of “truth, justice and the American Way.” The sad reality is that America is an imperialistic, avaricious war machine ruled by the wealthy. Yes, much of the world despises this nation. Our leaders have virtually assured abhorrence of America, and what’s more, they do not care.

He didn't ask this question so much as he formulated an answer out of bullshit and decided that since he's the president, he must be right.

Well the article is long-winded, but I'll give you this - it's certainly worth the read. Pretty much sums up everything I've been saying in related threads. Spot-on on every point, sad as it makes me to say so.

Props to you Streaker, for finding this gem.

Having lived in the U.S. for many years, I can personally attest to the described "truth, justice, and the American way" propagandism that pervades American society and mass media, to the extent that there are still many Americans who truly do not understand why so much of the rest of the world hates the U.S. government and resents its citizens for putting such despicable criminals into power.

As I pointed out elsewhere, however, it is too often forgotten by such haters that, historically, almost half the voters voted against all the perpetrators the world hates the most... including Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr.

Nothing more than the same boring old Chomskyite nonsense from the ultra-left.

Once again, if they all hate their own country so much why don't they leave for greener pastures? I'd suggest Saudi Arabia, (or maybe Malmo, Sweden, where sharia law is being implemented with astonishing vigour by some really friendly immigrants) so they can experience some non-American enlightenment first hand.

You know, it's funny, the other day you were saying I was wrong to call you a giant ignoramus who's afraid to hear things that might shatter his tiny world view, and here you are proving I was right.

This is not about "why Americans hate their country." It is about educating Americans as to why much of the rest of the world despises America's way of dealing with them. This is important because, as I mentioned earlier, Americans have been fed so much "spreading peace and freedom" propaganda that many truly don't get it why anyone would dislike their country.

And before you label it all conspiracy bullsh**, saying the U.S. didn't put terrorists into power and give them WMD's, then go after them later as terrorists... you should know that I personally know someone who worked at a manufacturer some of this weaponry and saw actual packing slips proving that they were shipping to enemies of the U.S.

Go do some research if you don't believe it. There is ample proof of the U.S. government's actions described in the article, which also explains why it has remained published for 2.5 years without challenge.

So now people don't have the right to criticize their country because other countries practise more Islam and are more restrictive? Very well then... when this government does something you don't like, by your very own standards, we will expect you to keep your pie-hole shut.

Btw I did leave for greener pastures. I came back home to Canada, where I could experience some non-American enlightenment firsthand. ;) One benefit of all my time in the U.S. is that I can then turn around and educate people like yourself when they think they know all about American politics and citizens.

Sorry. This was a reply that the system wiped out on me. It was a good one and I'm pissed off at what the site software just did to it. Fuck!
