Another pair of quackers from today. Not quite as pretty as the Mallard couple in my previous posted pic, but saw lots of these ones today (can't remember what they are called), mostly swimming so you don't get to see them as well.

btw Hyack, I love your woodpecker shots. Cute little buggers! I see them often too, but they're hard to get pics of and I never seem to have my camera when I do see them.

Those little guys are American Wigeon, as for the woodpeckers, I had one of them land on my arm when I was feeding the Chickadees yesterday. It looked like he was going to grab a peanut, but he was there and gone it a heartbeat. This is the guy a couple seconds later...

Just took me a minute....
There was seven of these little guys all chasing each other around in a vacant lot in an industrial park. They seemed to be living under an old picker truck if you can believe that...Don't have a clue what they are
