im not too sure how big UFC is in canada but i for one love it, and my favorite fighter is Quebec's Georges St. Pierre who will be fighting Matt Hughes for the Interim Welterweight title at UFC 79. Along with Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva, i think this is gonna be the best UFC yet.

I did not see the fight, but I read about the results. I am glad to see that GSP won. He is a dynamic fighter; however, I think he may be a bit immature. The fact he lost to Matt Hughes before by an armbar after dominating the fight, and then losing the title so quickly once he won it, indicates that he is still a bit too young and cocky. Hopefully, this time, as he moves toward the title, he will win it again and keep it longer. Matt Hughes was a bit too arrogant, but I have to give him credit for being an excellent fighter and defending his title for a long time.

Also glad to see Chuck Liddell won his fight. He has never done or said anything to turn me off him. I was surprised that he even lost that fight against Keith Jardine. One thing I wish he'd do: add some variety to his fights. All I ever seem to see him do is box and avoid getting taken down. I'd like to see him show off more of his other tools: grappling, jiu-jitsu, etc.

What's the point? His style has served him quite well so far.

As for the GSP-Hughes fight, I couldn't believe how badly Hughes got owned. GSP beat him at his own game and made it look easy.

I agree, and after watching a match between Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell (where Liddell won... ) I think he's used his stand up / striking game to great advantage against grapplers.

I believe he's got a good shot against Serra. But it won't be easy. I watched an old UFC where Hughes layed a beat down on Royce Gracie. I may be no fan of Hughes but I sure as hell ain't a fan of his Royal majesty Royce Gracie. That day I was a happy fan of Hughes...

in all honesty, serra won, fair and square. but it was like the cro cop vs gonzaga fight. 9 times outta ten gsp woulda won. besides, serra is gonna be coming off of a back injury, and gsp has never been better, he knows what losing the belt feels like and now hes physically and mentally tougher than anyone else in the division
