The Blue Jays continued what they started last night, defeating the Yankees 7-4 and winning their 5th series in a row against the Yankees. They now have a game and a half lead in the AL East.

Toronto takes the lead in the 8th on an inside of the park home run by Upton.

Down 7-3, Toronto comes back to win it 8-7.
...and it wasn't an inside of the park home run, it was a triple and error.

So why did you come see this thread if you didn't want to know?
What a boneheaded move that was.

It seems to me that Dickey has struggled all season, why are they sending Sanchez down, (maybe already back) and not Dickey ?
Maybe just a numbers thing ?

The Blue Jays are not nearly the team they were last year at this time! Here's hoping they can turn the corner and return to a winning team before it is really too late.....

The Jay's win the 1st of 3 games in Seattle today, leading 3-0 in the top of the 9th they gave up 2 runs, but managed to hold on for the 3-2 win, With only 12 games remaining in the regular season the Jays are tied with Baltimore with a record of 82-68, putting them both 4 games back of Boston for the lead in the American League East. Following this series in Seattle the guys have Thursday off before hosting the NY Yankees for four games, followed by 3 games against Baltimore before ending the season with 3 more home games versus Boston. The regular season ends for the Blue Jays on Sunday 2 October.

It was great to see Marco have such a great game. Except for the walk in the 7th, he was lights out for the Jays last night. I wonder what's up with Jason Grilli? His last two time up, he just couldn't find the handle on the ball. The bats weren't stellar but they got the job done. Sure hope they can staying on the winning side. Go Jays!
