That was the craziest thing I've ever seen. Fortunately beer sales continued until the end of the 7th. An umpiring miscue and 3 errors in a row. Never seen the likes...
So here's the big question: can the Jays drop their protest? 'Cause if the protest is upheld, which it should be, then they'd have to replay from that point.

Had the Jays lost the game on that play, that would be a different story. Because they won, there will be no action on the protest as the play in question had no effect on the final outcome of the game.

"No replay of the game will be ordered unless in the opinion of the League President the violation adversely affected the protesting teams chances of winning the game."

Good for the Jays! I was working during the game but saw the highlights. Very weird how things work out even when it seems the odds are against that.

Top of the 5th and the Royals are up 3-0......the Blue Jays have got them right where they want them, nicely lulled into a false sense of their superiority......the power is coming to bat in the 6th!!

#1: If I'm Josh Donaldson, I'm carrying a baby-doll in my jersey every time I face Volquez from now on. First time I homer off him I tear my jersey open, buttons everywhere, pull out the baby doll and whip it at him on my way around the bases. #2: If I'm Jose Bautista, I shave my beard tonight. Then when all the fucking idiots in KC show up tomorrow with blue painted-on beards, I laugh at the losers, maybe wink and blow 'em a kiss.
