After watching Brad Jacobs NO team play Team NL/LAB last night, I thought I had just witnessed one of the best brier games ever. Sure they choked in the 10th, but they were almost faultless for the first nine ends and managed to pull off the win in the 11th then went on to defeat Team ON today in grand fashion. Every single member of the team deserves kudos for getting this far against the very best in Canada. Will be pulling for them later today when they take on the old champ Jeff Stoughton. Time for some young blood and Team ON seems to have most if not all of the answers. GO, TEAM ON, GO!

Agreed, SD. Team ON blew it big time and didn't take it well, complaining about the way the play-offs are structured. However, Jeff had no answers for Brad and his crew on Sunday. The game for me was on from the first end steal of two by Jacobs. They never lost focus and took chances to win.

I have a lot of respect for the old guard - they have all represented Canada well in curling but it is time we had some young blood in the game. With the win by Team Holman in the Scotties and now this one by Team Jacobs in the Brier, the future of curling in Canada is in solid hands.

Really looking forward to this coming weekend when Team Holman takes on Team Scotland in the Worlds. Go Team Canada, Go.

It was the Juniors, Shepherd and our kids did manage a Bronze. Altogether different then the Men's or Women's Worlds where teams have had many years of playing in the big leagues. Thought they did a good job all the same considering that other teams they played against do nothing but curl while our kids have ordinary lives but chose to dedicate their 'free' time to become great curlers.
