I noticed a picture of one of the injured fans. He was wearing a Rider shirt. I hope that not injuries were serious although I read about two in critical, later upgraded to stable, condition.

But NASCAR went with paid corner workers many years ago, so the people who should be unbiased and independent about fan safety get no say in the matter. The Almighty dollar speaks. Who cares if a few fans get hurt?
