I can’t say enough good things about Griffin; I think he’s got incredible heart, determination and it seems more and more apparent that he can beat fighters that are seemingly unbeatable. In all truth, I have a lot of respect for both of these fighters but many people may be in disagreement about the outcome of last night’s decision by the judges. Griffin pulled off an 11th hour victory over Jackson by unanimous decision. It was clear that no man really had the better of the other during this fight and the now highly talked about and over rated leg kicks Griffin dished out did some damage, however they weren’t enough to seriously affect the former champ. Forrest had a nice submission attempt, nice leg kicks and in the judges eyes more than likely appeared more active throughout the fight. Jackson, issued some sweet combos and landed a lot of strikes on Griffin… dropped him early on with a beautiful uppercut that would have stopped any normal human being dead in their tracks but Griffin has a hell of a chin. Long story short, it wasn’t a decisive victory at all! However it was clear that Griffin remained slightly more active throughout the rounds crowning him new light heavyweight champ and future target for ‘The Spider” and don’t worry… this isn’t the last we’ve heard from “Rampage”.

There's quite a mixed bag of opinions regarding who will come out victorious on July 19th at Affliction "Banned", Fedor Emelianenko(28-1) or Tim Sylvia(24-4).

Lets open it up to the forum, I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

Bisping comments on the upcoming fight between former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko and former UFC heavyweight champion Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia at Affliction: Banned on July 19 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Bisping claims he heard through the grape vine that “The Last Emperor”, Fedor may be going into the fight on July 19th injured, but he still believes Fedor will come out victorious. Here's what he told The Sun:

"It’s going to be good to see if Fedor is still the man but I’ve heard on the grapevine from inside sources that he could be injured. But this is time for Fedor to step up. Everyone knows what Tim Sylvia is all about but Fedor’s had an aura about him for a long time. The guy was devastating in Pride but he’s had a long lay off now and his last couple of fights have been against smaller guys. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s still got what he had in Pride - which I’m sure he has - because the guy’s probably the best fighter in MMA history."

What do you guys think, is this just british propaganda?

FEDOR TO FIGHT 2 MORE TIMES IN 08

Fedor Emelianenko, in my eyes the best fighter on the planet will meet Tim Sylvia on July 19 at the "Affliction: Banned" main event. But he also has more up his sleeves... he plans to fight twice more in 2008.

His manager, Vadim Finkelstein, laid out the fight schedule in a recent interview with m1mixfight.com, the official website for M-1 Mix Fight.

According to Finkelstein, the October bout will take place at an Affliction show, and the December fight will take place at a New Year's Eve event in Japan.
