I saw this crap on Victory Garden about a decade ago. The host and a tour guide we're standing by what appeared to be a small ravine, when the tour guide disclosed that it wasn't a small ravine but a large gully that still contained a farm house barn and all the farm equipment, now deeply buried below kudzu.

This stuff is truly scary, it's almost like a sci fi movie only in real life.

They also said that it was the US Corps of Engineers who started planting the stuff in the 30's to control errosion along the mississippi valley and that it's pretty much taken over now.
