It started honestly enough bout a friends sending me a site about these retards who make a 30lbs 600 Nitro express revolver.
http://www.vincelewis.net/60magnum.html
Since the topic is now stupid recoil, I happened to watch a video of a guy getting beaten up by a Kel Tek 7.62x51 NATO bullpup rifle.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9Xqa2vwq60
The fact that the guy looked like that weasle from "falling down" made me quite happy too.
Lookinhg through their website, I see they make a 5.56 "pistol". Well, if that isn't the answer to dropbears in the trees. And they have a shot of the fine folks from ZZ-top using it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckZ0HC_G ... ed&search=
So I have to look and see what other things these fine folks make.
Aside from a bunch of folding rifles that hinge at all the wrong places they make the worlds first:
folding bayonett.
I remember many occasions when I was under cover, serving with the Walter Mitty Special Canadian Forces, we'd be walking through town with our Mk-5 Jungle Carbines tucked under our dusters and the shape of a bayonett would give us away. Like consealing 40" of rifle isn't enough but 14" of knife might?
Thank god we now have a folding bayonett that we can attach to our mucking great rifle and repell that cavelry attack.

There actually is some merit to that.
Remember this is a bullpup so the action is right beside the cheek of a right handed shooter, ejecting to the right. If you made a lefty version, you;d need to swap that to the left side.
It's a military rifle so folks might shoot back at yiou so you might want to take cover by hitting the dirt. If you're rifle ejects down, hot brass can be a problem, eventually landing in you're shirt.
Ejecting out front, like the FN2000 is the safest choice, but most apt to solve these problems.
It's also a big hole that's going to get plugged up with mud when you manover undergound.

I dunno, as an almost completely ignorant by standard when it comes to the workings or automatic weapons and such, a forward ejecting system seems like a jam waiting to happen, get like 5 or six piled in the ejecting area, shoot off another round, and voila, hot cartridges in yer face.
As for folding weapons... Whadya think of that nifty new corner shot rifle thingy (not quite the same as what I thinik you meant by folding shit, but sorta is) and is it true the Cdn gov't is thinking about getting a few?

I'm not going to play expert here. This was just a conversation I was having with someone else.
Definately, the longer you expect brass to move is likely things will bind or jamb up.
The cornershot thing is pretty much a pistol on a stick. It's a highly specialized bit of gear that might get used once a week and really is just a unique stock and sights for a psitol. I don't like it but it's special so you have to make it work.
If I was god, I'd throw smoke and use a thremal scope.. then I;d call fluyng monkeys from my ass and lightning bolts.

Yeah... but in a confined area where there's a bunch of trigger happy explosives wielding people that are ready to shit their pants because you've just killed a couple of their terrorist buddies armed with Kalashnikov rifles and various unstable hand thrown and shoulder mounted explosive devices who are looking to get revenge and a spot in heaven with an unlimited supply of virgins and getting to share a pint (of milk, or cola) with Allah, smoke wont really help. They don't seem to care how many clips they expel, they just want to kill the infidel hiding in the smoke, and the AKs can give a nice spray, not to mention the shrapnel you'd be dodging.
I dunno... You'd have to be fighting a conventional war to use your tactic there, too many crazy fuckers who don't play fair in these wonderful wars that we're in now.

Well to tell you the truth, there are already 5 or so empty casing in the ejection tube... The spent casings just push the next ones out. Having been in the military, I'd say it's a rather good design when fighting in close with others on your own side.... nothing spoils your day like getting a hot casing down the shirt collar..... (OUCH!!)

Not much. When I've needed to off someone around a corner I just toss a grenade. Also, you don't have to clean grenades after using them.

In my experience...if you have a failure to eject....a stovepipe...your weapon will not fire as the bolt will stop on the unejected brass.

Mine was made in 1973 I could shake it from side to side and you would hear the barrel rattle around inside. They, the Army, would not issue me another one. I was so glad when we changed over the the 9mm.
