Absolutely ridiculous.
Your absolutely right, they should all be sent back to Italy. BTW, I want to be the first to be sent back, imagine no winters, or tongue troopers, no OLF, no Pauline, no PQ/BQ and so on. No religious accommodations. I would automatically get an Italian passport, and a EU passport, and the right to live anywhere in Europe. All of you of recent European stock, this goes for you too.
Most European countries, allow the children (children of Emigrants) of the nation to return, they will also accept
grandchildren (of Emigrants).
