There's a school of thought that if you add immigration to unemployment you'll get more unemployment. Economists tend to say it'll clear up the unemployment.

Immigrants create jobs as well as take them. They drive wages down. In Quebec however, with its 20 bajillion levels of bureaucracy nobody gets a job, hesitant companies don't want to hire. Well....it's their problems, I don't see it where I am and it's full of immigrants, let Quebec worry about it.
