Can this be done without hurting some groups' feelings? RCMP noted that family and spouses were largely responsible for MMIW, and that drew criticisms of racism. Until people are able to address any and all aspects of the problem, nothing will improve.

But Saskatchewan has a conservative government. I thought only Liberal governments have crime problems and conservatives solve crime problems

That can't just be right-wing bullshit can it?

The crime rate there was just as bad when the Dippers ran the place. It's a generational thing that has pretty much nothing at all to do with whoever is in control of the provincial government.

Crime is primarily a result of socio-economic conditions. It can also be a product of age demographics,as larger youth populations often lead to higher crime rates.

Actually what they said was:

$1:
In considering the offender characteristics, a commonality unrelated to the ethnicity of the victim was the strong nexus to familial and spousal violence. Aboriginal females were killed by a spouse, family member or intimate relation in 62 per cent of the cases; similarly, non-aboriginal females were killed by a spouse, family member or intimate relation in 74 per cent of occurrences."

So they're actually less likely to be killed by spouse and family.
