ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:
Don't think so. the federal NDP is just too big an umbrella organization, trying to be a home for groups and causes no one else wants. The provincial NDP in Manitoba and Saskatchewan rely mainly on labour and centre left voters that don't have a real liberal party to represent their centrist views. They are pragmatic because they know that if they tried pushing some of the BS the federal NDP espouses that a lot of their votes would be gone. this why many provincial NDP members tend to vote Liberal in federal politics rather than NDP...even they don't trust the federal wing.
Maybe the federal NDP will root out its loons, maybe not. However when you have nutballs like Mulcair running for the leadership, it doesn't help their cause
Well, if people will vote for nutbars like Maurice Vellacott I can't see what they have against Mulcair

. I don't know about the new crop of Quebec M.P.'s but the old line in the caucus are not bad at all. Of course you disagree, but I think we could match M.P.'s of the Stevealicious party who are in need of Psychiatric help with any nutcases in the NDP. I can think of several in Saskatchewan.
