A new Christmas video produced by a young Charleswood musician is drumming up attention online, in Winnipeg and beyond.

The video — also shot and edited by Quigley, and posted to YouTube on Thursday — has several of his school friends and his older sister appearing at points throughout the production, holding signs saying, “Merry Christmas,” in a number of languages. He plays the drums and sings the Yuletide staple, while seemingly on a joyful trek across Winnipeg with his instrument.

James McLellan, an Oak Park film teacher, describes his student’s production as an “incredible feat of artistic achievement,” particularly for such a young performer.

“This video has a lot of heart. It’s Sean. He’s a super nice guy,” McLellan said.

“You can tell how hard he works, and how positive he is. It comes through in the video. That’s the most beautiful thing about this. It’s just honest.”
