In the meantime raise your tax rate to 28% - Dubyah was right about this one - get as much cash as you can while you can.
You also need to buy some schools when you can - you get a 5% income bump for each school and then after three schools you can buy a university which gets you an 8% income bump - it also raises your literacy rate which I've noticed makes the effective bump from each school around 7%.

Yeah, I've gone to 28% taxes too and it makes a big difference ($15,000/day). It didn't when my nation was a pipsqueak though. And now with my university, tech costs me almost what it did in the beginning. Now I plan on buying tons of tech, and my next improvement will be a second university.

Yeah, I've noticed that tech ratchets up both income and population when you buy enough of it. Infra increases population but tech increases population and per capita income and tax revenue.

thanks......... i had no idea you were a member here....
i didn't know i had the means to buy cruise missiles either. the harbour helped me out a lot.....i got fine jewelry and radiation cleanup out of it (wasn't expecting hte cleanup resource either). my nation is going really well. i had an even the other day that said there was a war in a neighboring country and i had an influx of refugees. i had the option of a) keeping the refugees, for a +10% population and -$5 to income or b) send them back for a -10% population and +$5 to income. naturally i chose to keep them. i'm already at almost 4000 citizens so i'm almost to the point where i can buy my third school to open up a university option. what was it i heard about schools improving liteacy? i have 2 schools and my literacy is still only 20%.... anywho once i pass 4000 citizens and buy a school i think i'm going to save up and do a tech deal with a buddy of mine who's just started playing the game. right now 50 tech levels would cost me over 7 million dollars so i think cutting that down to 1.2 million thru a tech deal is a good idea for me. that way i'll be able to open up the good aircraft to buy to compliment my soldiers, tanks and cruise missiles. i'd like to get the satellite improvement soon too, but i have to prioritize that with getting schools and universities...
