Ooops, too late. The enemy that's launched a successful invasion of the USA in 2012 is supposed to be North Korea. In the intial draft it was going to be China but the Chinese protested and Hollywood, ever fearful of offending someone, made it the Norks.

North Korea can't find it's collective a** with both hands but we're supposed to believe they've launched an amphibious operation against North America and on a scale to dwarf the Normandy invasion?

Frickin' Skyline was more plausible.

When the writing of the remake changed the invading force to North Koreans, I lost all desire to see the film, now it's just one big joke.

Canada invading and occupying the United States seems more plausible.

Although the American high school students will beat NK in the end, every one of you should lower your heads in shame the the North Koreans ever got passed Japan to land on the US and kicks its ass for the first 60 minutes of a movie.
