I'm totally against the Olympics and am open to all kinds of shit being heaped upon them. But this guy is just a jealous asshole. He should look more at all the big American companies that make these the corporate games.

You have to laugh... an American saying that Canadians are "too patriotic". Doesn't usually happen.

saturn_656 saturn_656: You have to laugh... an American saying that Canadians are "too patriotic". Doesn't usually happen. We have an American friend who makes the same complaint. One of her examples of it is the number of people who put Canadian flags on their luggage/backpacks when on vacation. I don't think she realizes that it's sometimes both Canadians & Americans doing that...

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: Maybe we're just better at patriotism too, Honestly, you're the most patriotic Canadian I know of and compared to you, most Americans are amateurs. But most Canadians, I imagine, would not be impressed by your passion for your country.

Sadly, this is just another in the long line of anti-Canadian crap that bubbles up out of the US every once and while (such as the shite Tucker Carlson, Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly spout whenever we don't do exactly as they want).

I'm not sure how to respond to the last sentence, other than that I know and that I agree. It was a compliment. The last sentence is an observation of a sad fact, is all.

I love that stuff. Makes me feel so virtuous when those morons get spouting. The best was being called Canukistan (what was that guy's name again - ran for pres?) I thought we should change our name for that one. I mean if we're getting rightwingnut Americans pissed off at us, we must be doing something right.

Similar to the long line of anti-American crap that bubbles out of Canada every once in a while. Nothing new here, and no reason to get ones panties in a bunch.

I would say the comments were "insensitive", I would use words like F stupid, lie, idiotic or the ranting of a lunatic from Texas. Is he related to George Bush? It soulds like it.
