What this country needs is a new national energy policy. Get cracking Professor Dion. There's a whole new breed of Liberal insiders that need to get rich from another nationalization of industry.

Harper's response was basically, "Yeah, it looks like gouging to me too, but I'm not going to do anything about it." Of course he's not going to do anything about it, it's his oil industry buddies doing the gouging.

stokes stokes: I live on Vancouver Island, and gas just dropped below 1.40 last week an we currently sit at 1.389, so if your gas just jumped 13 cents and you still pay less than me than I have no sympathy. I made this post this morning before I went to work, on my way home gas was at $1.499. I am wrong to accuse the gas companies of profiteering and fear mongering. This storm hasnt even hit yet and gas has jumped around 10%, so if this storm misses will gas return to its previous price? I think not, nothing but profit!!

Young people who drop out to take a $60,000-a-year job on the oil rigs can often gain maturity through work experience, which encourages them to return to school later in life, [Heather] Douglas, [Calgary Chamber of Commerce president], said. http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/new ... 03ae132268I think they were trying to be nice when they told you that you didn't get the job
