Rio is the sequel to Sochi, maybe it's time to rethink how the summer and winter games host cities are chosen.

Why change now? It's been well known for years upon years the Olympics committee is the most corrupt officiating body in sports mankind has ever seen and will probably remain so for tears to come! What these people have pocketed over the years would probably pay off all Canada's national debts with plenty of loose change remaining.

FIFA isn't far behind the IOC in terms of raw corruption.

It would be wonderful to be able to say positive things about this summer games. Things like the peaceful gathering of people from so many countries to participate in events they have trained so many years for. The camaraderie, the cheers, the glory of standing on a podium, etc.

Unfortunately, so many factors lead me to believe this summer games will be a disaster on many levels that will overshadow the positive side to what the games are supposed to be about.

I just hope as many athletes as possible return home in the same state they left home in.

My personal boycott of all-things-Olympic continues for another cycle. If all I can do to harm this system is to deny it my viewership then so be it. So, as Stone Cold Steve Austin was known to say, that's all I'm gonna say about that!
