I guess they don't want Canadian support either.

Ironically, if they follow(are allowed to) through on this, they won't need Support.

Sorry but,

Won't Need doesn't equate to won't take

Quite possibly true.

There was a piece on CBC Manitoba about the legal native casinos and how they've fucked them up already. The profits were to be shared out to all native people, but the dumb fucks couldn't read a contract or were too fucking greedy to care. While the reserves, where the casinos are located, get a nice little cheque, everyone else gets sweet fuck all. A big chunk of theprofits(tens of millions of dollars) goes to some American management company for the next 25 years.

I pretty much haven't met anyone who won't take money from the Government when it's offered............... native or otherwise.

At least for non-natives, it's logical and understandable to take money from the government when it's offered. The government has fucked us all out of enough money that we're owed plenty. It's not theft to take back from someone who has stolen from you.

Don't "The Natives" claim the same?

Sure they do. But there are differences between my logic, as the disgruntled taxpayer, and natives'. First, I've actually paid money to the government. Natives haven't. Second, anyone that "stole" anything from the Natives is long dead. I view their circumstance as rather like a divorcee's (and please forgive the sexism in my analogy): when you break-up with your wealthy husband, the court awards you spousal support. But that doesn't go on forever. At some point, the courts expect the ex-wife to stand on her own two feet. We're well past that "support" stage with the natives. Time for them to grab a big helping of "get over it".

More half truths and bullshit 'eh? You're probably talking about the South Beach Casino, but it's hard to say for sure because you're being vague as usual.

$1:
Hemisphere Gaming put up a loan of $7.75 million to get the casino built. Barker said Hemisphere came forward with a loan when no one else would.

The investment money had to come from somewhere since the government was not willing to do so. Now it has to be repaid with revenue from the casino. How else would they get the thing off the ground?

Not really. Have you sent them a personal cheque this month to pay for your guilt?

My only question regarding this is: Why do natives demand full protection under Canadian laws when something doesn't go their way yet they feel that they can break whichever laws don't work for them?

Talk about a double standard that makes the rest of us lesser people than they think they are.

Because that's how children behave. We treat them like children and then we reap what we sow.
