Military units having nicknames with devil in them seems to be a big part of Canadian military tradition, I didn't know that it went this far back.

Hi, Thank you. Neither did I, this was part of the Muster Roll had the Name and (Brigades des Devils) after some research I found the info on this battalion why they were called this name because they were Lawyers, I found this hilarious, showed it to a few Lawyers I know and they Laughed.
