First of all this forum is not a discussion forum, its purpose is to nominate and apply for forum medals.

Here are the steps and guidlines.

To Nominate or Apply for Medal
First of all, you can only be nominated for a medal by another member and not yourself.

Medals will not be given to new members so they'll need to contribute to the CKA community before being considered.

The nomination must receive a minimum 8 endorsement votes from other members to be then considered by the moderators. Getting the 8 endorsements does not automatically mean that person will be awarded the medal, it is still up to the moderators or myself. Negative votes or comments do not count toward medal nominations, although will be allowed to be made in that thread.

Endorsement posts should also have some justification, but is not totally necessary.

To apply/nominate for a medal please Start a new topic in this format:
"Membername for Federalist Medal"

the post should contain the following:

1) Medal receiver's name

2) Medal name

3) Justification for getting the medal

4) "Optional" refrences to posts that back the justification

Guidlines to Receive a Medal

1) You cannot earn a medal until you have 100 or more posts.

2) The endorser will have to write a decent write-up on why he/she deserves the certain medal after he/she applies or gets chosen for a nomination. Instead of just saying “I nominate x for medal w”. You need to provide a good amount of proof (links/examples) and need to be very clear on why they deserve the medal. If he/she truly deserves the medal it will be easy to convince the moderators and give proof on why they deserve it.

3) Medals that aren’t deserved by people anymore, such as someone who may have the “Topic Jedi” medal suddenly stops creating a lot of topics and then never is heard of in the forum for a long length of time will have his/her medal taken away from them.

4) Medal nomination in obvious retaliation for a continuing conflict in the forums or to make a point will not be considered.

5) Moderating staff may award or remove medals (other than for inactivity) but only after a discussion has taken place within that group which may or may not be made public in the forums.





New Medal Ideas

You may also request for a new medal to be made and added in this forum. you should start a new topic with the folloing title format:

"[New Medal] Medal name"

in the post please repeat the Medal name and give a desciption of the medal and how to earn it.

I cannot guarantee I will add these, it takes time to make the graphic and add it. But you can greatly help the process by greating the graphic for the medal in the same format as the other medals. then as long as its a decent idea for a medal, I can add it no problem.

Now that's a laugh, 1971.... most of the people don't deserve their medals.

go to the top of this page and mouse over the drop down column for forums and click medals. Simple as that.

I'd like to nominate myself for CKA Contributor Medal... I've contributed alot since I've joined, including news items, money to support the site, a forum I created, among other things.

I know I'll get heat for nominating myself, but... no guts, no glory, eh?
