Just viewing some of the early results in the provincial election...and to my great satisfaction the liberals are leading 14 to 4 in districts that have reported so far....with 58.8 percent of the vote.

well congrats to you then, I guess, its the party that you seem to have wanted to win.

The best I can figure out is that your Liberal party is nothing like our liberal party and for that you should be thankfull. Ours ran on numerous platforms one of them being they would not alter the tax breaks that Bush put in, that they did not want to tax the middle class any more then what is currently being done ect....

Their new spending bill being sent through is for 2.9 trillion dollars and has a provision to remove the 2001 and 2003 tax breaks given by the Bush administration and more spending on areas that will cause our taxes to go up.

Welcome to the lib party of the US. Promise you anything and then do all they can to cover it up while they go about taxing any one and everyone and then go and attempt to play the blame game on the Republican party for things.

FB in this election could you vote for all candidates in the province or just the one from your district (not sure if district is the right word for how you segment up areas for voting) ?

It took me a while to figure out how your system works there too. Actually I'm still not quite sure. :P

Here we have electoral districts or ridings as they are popularly called. I believe P.E.I has it's own legislative assembly and the people elect members in their electoral district to sit there and represent the area they live in the province. So they just elect one person to sit for their electoral district I believe?

P.E.I. tide paints province Liberal red
Last Updated: Monday, May 28, 2007 | 8:48 PM AT
CBC News
P.E.I.'s Liberal party cruised to a surprisingly easy victory in Monday's provincial election.

The Liberals earned 53 per cent of the counted vote.

"We're going to move this province forward over the next four years to make sure that all Islanders get equal treatment," Liberal Leader Robert Ghiz told party workers in a speech a short time later.

In a CBC Radio interview, Ghiz sounded both modest and upbeat.

Asked whether his own leadership had turned the tide in favour of the Liberals, he replied: "There's no one person larger than the team, and we knew that all along.

"I had 26 other colleagues who had the confidence in me to run our campaign."

Cool I get it, its similar to our house of representatives (in the sense on how you vote for them)

No one more question that will really show I am an American, WTF is P.E.I.?

Now why does this question not surprise me? Especially since when you Google P.E.I. this is the first URL on the list:

Lets see I'm an American and I've no idea what the P.E.I. stands for and am using FB and Clogeroo's willingness to inform me through communication, in this case the communication is via this forum. So yeah why are you surprised by someone admitting they don't know something and asking for clarification on it?

What surprise's me is your unwillingness or inability to answer the question.
