it is imposible for us to know as the universe is in a constant state of expansion, hense the dimension of time....

but we cannot find what is beyond our own universe, the only way to escape it is to break a dimensio (speed of light), in which case you would be jettisoned out of our universe and probably not be able to find a way back in...

would be a good explanation, by our laws of physics, something must occupy yhtat space, be it parallel universes, god/heaven or something else. but then we cant know that the physical laws of our universe can/must exist outside of it...
