Maybe it's one of those things, that whenever we find out what is beyond the Universe the Universe itself will collapse in on itself and be replaced by somthing even more insane.
Maybe the universe is just a universe amonge many - the equivilent of a galaxy or a solar system, and maybe that collection of thingamagigs is just a member of a collection of bigger things, and maybe that collection of others! And maybe that last collection is in fact just the equvilent of a speck of dust - what seems inpossibly large to us is infantile to others, that the universe is just the equivilent of the smallest atom to an alien race! And that these aliens live on a planet, a planet that's a member of a solar system, a solar system that's a member of a galaxy, and so on and so forth...

Maybe the Universe doesn't exist. Maybe none of this is real. Maybe this is just someone's game, and we're the pieces.

I believe that it is actually very simple. However, I think that humans do not have the brainpower to answer the question. Perhaps we are like little insects compared to some other life forms that may be out there. I believe that it is simply a mathematical explanation. Yet at the same time impossible for us to discover. I don't think that there is actually "matter" beyond our universe. I believe it is time, because time is the only thing I know of that goes on forever. It's like, the moment it starts it ends and the moment it ends it starts and that sequence is infinite. That sequence is related to time as we know it. IMO.

Interesting take.

H2Obuffalo H2Obuffalo: WDHIII WDHIII: the thing that REALLY bothers me about the universe is that "space" is definded by its borders...... without those how can it exist at all? the borders of the universedo exist, they just are not a constant location, so they not only define "space", but through their expansion, define time as well...
What if the universe is round? There wouldn't be a border.

You mean "corners"?

There wouldn't be corners or an end it would just go around and around. Probably going in every direction.

Just throwing out ideas
I'm no scientest with facts to explain or back anything up. It hurts my head to even think about it.

It's fun to hypothesize, though.
