Canada is a nation of hypocrites.
At one time being a Liberal in Canada meant carrying about the poor on the streets (not making excuses for the poor as to why they are living that way) and true compassion for all immigrants, regardless of faith, culture and sexual preference.
The Liberals on this forum are more concerned about shellfish needs, don't mess with our precious health care system (which is more broken and screwed up than any system I know of, Mexcio and Cuba offers a better system).
Since I have returned and lived in Canada for the last 9 months all I have scene is disrespect, stress, poverty, over crowding, greed, hate and intolerance, price gouging and a bunch of idiots buying into it and allowing themselves to be pawns.
Canada has some of the most beautiful country from coast-to-coast, but for such a beautiful nation it is being pulled down into a sewer by big business and greed.
I know I have tossed a few topics on this web site that many found objectionable, and considered me a racist.
Honestly, I have no problem with Muslims (moderate Muslims), I hate the idea of a North American Union and feel Canada should have an "old style" Liberal government which cares about all of it's citizens, not just the few that contribute big money to a political party.
My views for the United States are entirely different, as the United States is more of a Capitalist beacon for the world, and therefore should have a strong business friendly Republican government.
Back to Canada: Alberta's oil belongs to all Canadians, however the Alberta government feels it should not share it's revenue with the rest of Canada. It's sets up slush funds so rich friends of the government can invest, while cutting back on the needs of the poor, health care and infrastructure.
Alberta may be the leader in economy, but it's importance is over blown. Once gas and oil prices drop, Alberta will be begging Ottawa for money, and the banks will need a bail out from all the debunk mortgages, most likely at taxpayers expenses "again".
The United States may have it's issues and problems, but it has more opportunity, more choice and people in the United States are risk takers.
Even with a boom in Alberta, Canadians still are afraid to try anything new or different. The Canadian mindset is retarded and backward.
Prices are outrageously high, rent, homes, food overpriced and wages in the service sector outrageously low. The poor get poorer and the rich get richer.
Canada will be the Mexcio of the north in 10 years. Just look at history, and Mexico has more oil than Canada.
I'm moving back to Texas.
Not Proud to be Canadian.
