No. They are only perceived as a race largely as a result of history from a time when the people of the religion could be connected to a particular geographic area.

Muslims are a collection of conquered and assimilated, or even proselytized races throughout a worldwide multi-racial area.

If you are desperate for an equivalency, Christians would be the better one.

The problem is the fear of muslims that has been generated .

There are Muslims that are no different in mentality than that which we find in the Bible Belt of America.

There are muslims who are no different than an absentee Christian or non practicing Catholics who still call themselves Christian or Catholic.

There are Muslims who are no different in Christian parents spraying their kids with Holy Water or screaming at them they are in league with the devil because they went to the high school dance and , heaven forbid, danced.

Age old leftovers from wars of Muslims against the Catholic church and the Crusades of ancient times still echo today.

Not unlike the hatred for Jews that Rome put across the Roman Empire in retaliation of the second uprising of Jews in Jerusalem which cause the levelling of Jerusalem except for one last wall, the wailing wall.


Soooo if you find yourselves hating Muslims it is do to being a product of propaganda, ignorance and ancient bigotry handed down through the ages. Not unlike hatred for Jews stemming from Roman edicts and posters put up through out the Roman empire.
