Got a letter from the Canadian High Commission in London letting me know that my son's application for Canadian Citizenship is now on its way to Canada for processing.

But it will take 12-18 months for me to get his card.

The other funny thing is that the family class visa process is quicker to do within the UK than it is in Canada.

It's done in two parts, they have to assess me first and then they do my husband. My assessment takes 52 days if I apply within the UK and my husband takes 8 months. If it's done within Canada, it takes 8 months for me and 8 months for my husband. Go figure!
