Police in Washington seem really nonchalant about him being there.

Until a formal extradition request is filed and heard and a warrant is issued for this guy in the US then, yeah, they've got other things to do.

However, if he commits a crime in the USA you can bet that when he eventually comes back to Canada it'll be inside of a pine box.

Be nice if this one ends in a shoot out with the result being "no officers were injured but the suspect did not survive the encounter". No remorse for feeling this way either. Death for these bastards is the next best option to castration combined with a life sentence in solitary.

It's not a question of "if" but "when". Guys like this are not wired properly, and if he's allowed to roam he will offend again.

The police should be more concerned.

Prior restraint is illegal in the USA and where he did not commit his crimes in the USA he is not subject to our restrictions as a registered sex offender.

Rest assured, I'm certain someone is quietly keeping tabs on this mutt just waiting for word of an arrest warrant. Or they'll intercept him doing something we can imprison him for. Either way, he's not getting away with anything.

Good Grief, didn't anyone in Canada think to inform the U.S.Government this guy was on the loose and may cross the frontier? If not than that is a serious F-up on our part. Someone's head needs to roll!

And here I was thinking that you couldn't cross the boarder with a criminal record...

$1:
“EPS detectives were able to confirm with U.S. customs and border protection that Stanley crossed from British Columbia into Washington state at the Blaine border crossing on the evening of Oct. 7,”

Seems like more then one breakdown has occurred.

He has no record in the US. He's served his time here, and now is only wanted for breach of recognacince. We don't care who leaves, they care who enters.

Why would we want the cost and fight of extraditing him? Not to sound cold, but the US border patrol let him in, he's their problem now.

if he re-offends down there, his incarceration will likely be a little harsher than what he experienced here.

And the sad part is it will likely hurt a child very badly. :( This bastard has been known for taking children from playgrounds.

Both countries have failed then. He should have still been incarcerated here, rather than running loose.

Like I said, I have no doubt that he's under surveillance 24/7 and he's likely well aware of it, too.
