If you're local to the BC Lower Mainland check this out:

http://www.christmaslights.ca/

I've already seen a couple of the houses mentioned in Richmond (including the one with 87,000+ lights), but with this site I can plan my route for the Christmas Light Tour that I take my little buddy Kai on every year.

I've seen a few of the Richmond ones yearly. Not the one on Palmer though. Might have to check that one out.

It's awesome. Everything is timed to music and it's very bright. I wonder what their hydro bill is like.

This display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frquency and doesn't disturb the neighbors.

There are a few threads showing that house. I heard on the news that it was shut down for "safety reasons" as it was causing too much congestion and even a car accident.

is not going to equal his wifes fury.

A friend of mine gave me a copy of a picture depicting what he'd done to his wifes deer light display. She wanted it put up, he thought it was dorky, she firmly insisted, so he hopped to it.

Giving you any ideas, Chopper? :D

Near Ottawa's city limits is a place predominantly inhabited by French People called Orleans. In this cesspool of tabernacerie, there is a nice place called Taffy Lane. It's a tourist attraction and it has the most beautiful Christmas light displays I've ever seen. The whole of Taffy Lane and surrounding lanes, crescents and streets are in the spirit of Christmas and it is wonderful driving around this area seeing nothing but Christmas lights everywhere.

Edmonton has the same idea. A neighbourhood calls itself Candy Cane Lane. Quite impressive. A couple years ago, my favorite was a Santa setup in a red Corvette convertible. That looked sharp.

My favorite was Santa climbing a public street light pole with dogs attached to his butt and legs trying to pull him down . Sorry no pics , it was made of plywood but the paint job was excellent . It covered the height of almost 8 ft. from the ground .
